Eating Healthy from the Skinny Pantry

The Skinny Pantry specializes in gluten-free, low-carb, weight loss and bariatric foods, plus organic, vegan, vegetarian and raw foods, vitamins and supplements. The store offers vitamins more than 500 gluten-free items; and sugar-free, low carb, organic and vegan choices in its expanded location.

Udi’s line of gluten-free products include white and  multi-grain breads, blueberry and lemon muffins, bagels and pizza crust.  “These are very popular because they are delicious and aren’t as dry and don’t crumble as readily as some other products,” according to owner Terry Foster.  Zevia natural sodas, including cola, ginger, lime, orange and other flavors, is infused with stevia natural sweetener, making it, “…one of the first natural diet drinks that’s a genuinely healthy alternative,” she says.

The facility also offers weight loss and nutritional counseling; the Zyto Wellness Scan, a state-of-the-art computerized program that helps take the guesswork out of choosing appropriate supplements. By combining quantum physics, biology and computer technology, the stimulus-response process outputs a query, or virtual stressor, and the body “talks back,” or responds, according to ZYTO Corp. founder and CEO Dr. Vaughn R. Cook, OMD. The company reports there have been more than 100,000 assessments performed by healthcare professionals, and the accuracy of the results and science that supports it has impressed its many practitioners. Scan fee: $49.99, including up to one hour of consultation.

There are also monthly support group gatherings for celiac disease and autism; and frequent classes on a variety of timely topics.
Location: 11356 S. Cleveland Ave in Ft. Myers. For more info or to make an appointment, call 239-935-5093, visit www.TheSkinnyPantry.com or visit the store.
