The Seasoned Circle Events at Christus Victor Lutheran Church
Three free Seasoned Circle events will be held at the Christus Victor Lutheran Church, in Naples, during the next three months. The event trio kicks off with a screening and discussion of the PBS Frontline film, Being Mortal, based on the bestselling book by Atul Gawande, M.D., at 1 p.m., February 21. Avow’s Mark Beland will present a Five Wishes living will discussion at 1 p.m., March 20, and Linda Sechrist, senior staff writer with Natural Awakenings, will present Capturing Our Own Legacy, the Process of Life Review and Writing Narratives, at 1 p.m., April 4.
“Aging is not a disease, but a continuous process for every human being,” says Sherry Slater, the church’s director of senior ministry. “To age well and with grace requires skills and resources that can be acquired through an intentional learning process. It’s essential that individuals continue to engage in a lifelong process of spiritual growth and development.”
