Five-Day MBSR Program in Bonita Springs
Paulette Grotrian, of Mindfulness with Paulette, will lead a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from March 27 through 31 at Integrative Mindfulness, in Bonita Springs. It will be the first time that the renowned method, based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, is offered in Bonita in an intensive, five-day format.
Mindfulness is an effective tool to help people understand, tolerate and deal with their emotions in healthy ways, including altering habitual responses by pausing and choosing how we act. Benefits in reducing stress and anxiety include improving ability to make better decisions, health choices, relationships, sense of well-being and more satisfaction in life.
Grotrian, MA, qualified MBSR instructor, meditator and teacher who trained with Kabat-Zinn, is a founding member of the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness, and has been a guest teacher at Integrative Mindfulness.
Cost: $500 includes workbook, recordings of guided meditations and an all-day retreat. The program offers 24 CEs for psychologists, dietitians, social workers, mental health professionals and nurses.
