Inaugural SWFL Veg Fest in Downtown Fort Myers
The first SWFL Veg Fest, a free event that highlights the health, animal welfare and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., January 29, at Centennial Park, in downtown Fort Myers. Featured speakers include Dr. T. Colin Campbell, author of The China Study; Dr. Hans Diehl, founder of the Complete Health Improvement Program; and Nelson Campbell, producer/director of the movie Plant Pure Nation.
Hosted by APlantBasedDiet.org, the event will raise awareness and advocacy for the use of food as medicine. Attendees can peruse vendors, animal rescues, food and entertainment. Plant-Powered Movement, a 5K and fun walk, will begin at 8 a.m.
