Learn to grow your own vegetables and herbs in a hands-on, 15-week, team-concept program. Organic vegetable growing classes will be held at Holton Eco-Preserve at Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers, from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturdays, beginning August 28.

Topics will include best planting times, selecting vegetables and herbs for our region, companion planting, crop rotation, composting and soil care, pest and disease management, container and raised bed gardening and more.

Participants will be formed into teams and will be able to keep the produce they grow at the end of the program.
