GreenFest EXPO at Edison State College
Edison State College, a leader in area environmental initiatives, will showcase sustainable solutions at the second annual GreenFest EXPO, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 27, on the Collier campus.
More than 50 local businesses, organizations and other experts, including Dr. Anne Maria, an on-air personality for the Weather Channel and a green home remodeling veteran; Dr Jennifer Languell, host of the Discovery Channel Project Earth Series and president of the Florida Green Building Coalition; and Virginia Grabowski from Green Switch, will provide practical, affordable tips, plus demonstrations that can help conserve energy in everyday lives and reduce our impact upon fragile ecosystems.
Technologies displayed at the free event will include automotive, appliances, lighting, solar, water conservation, construction, energy efficiency and recycling. Attendees will be able to ask questions and try out many of the products, systems and devices. Also, fun, hands-on educational activities will be available for children.
