Imagine Solutions Conference at The Phil

Document Actions

Forty of the world’s top thought leaders in energy, environment, economics, education and health will present their innovative views and converse with attendees at the Imagine Solutions Conference 2010, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., February 22-23, at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts’ Hayes Hall.

“In these extraordinary times, knowledge is a critical commodity. Only with knowledge can effective action be taken,” says Randy Antik, CEO of Searching for Solutions Institute, organizers of the groundbreaking event. “Real knowledge, the kind that reflects varying viewpoints and in-depth analysis, is not always immediately available. We hope to pool that type of knowledge and concentrate on the top five issues facing America and the world.”

Speakers will include Susan Eisenhower, a leading authority on energy, space and international security issues; Dean Ornish, M.D., founder of the Preventive Medicine Research Institute and author of six bestselling books, including Eat More, Weigh Less and The Spectrum; National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Sylvia Earle, an oceanographer and author who has led more than 60 expeditions; Cheryl Dorsey, president of Echoing Green, a global nonprofit that has provided start-up capital for more than 450 social entrepreneurs since 1987; and former U.S. Comptroller General David Walker, advocate for fiscal responsibility and star of the documentary, I.O.U.S.A.

Fee: Through February 15, $2,000 ($2,500 after). Includes three meals daily, invitations for pre- and post-conference events, newsletter updates and a DVD of the event. Register at ImagineSolutionsConference.com or call 239-216-4226.
