Annual Turtle Trot Benefits Lovers Key

Lovers Key State Park will host the third annual Turtle Trot 5K race on May 17, courtesy of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. This popular run/walk, sponsored by Independent Advisors of Florida, takes participants through a shady maritime hammock ecosystem and ends at the Lovers Key beach.
The event is open to competitive runners, first-time race participants and walkers. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Lovers Key, Inc., a nonprofit citizen’s organization.
